The sex toy brand created the spicy list from looking at the main characters in romantic films and books that had people blushing.
Unfortunately, Christian Grey didn’t make the list.
According to the research, the sexiest male name is Jack with saucy films loving their lead heartthrob to carry the moniker.
Notable characters include Jack Dawson played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the 1997 film Titanic and Jack Twist played by Jake Gyllenhaal in the 2005 film Brokeback Mountain.
The sexiest female name was Mary, as depicted by Rachel McAdams in time-travelling romance film About Time.
Interestingly, the name Rachel was the second sexiest women’s name.
The most iconic use of this name was arguably in Whitney Houston’s 1992 film The Bodyguard.
It tied for second with the names Kate, Julia, and Eva.
Susan was one of the third sexiest women’s names, sharing its ranking with Sophie, Mia, Julie, Bella and Anna.
The names in second place for the sexiest men’s monikers were Nick, James and Ben.
Peter and Joe ranked at joint third, followed by Sam for fourth.
Other sexy names include Jamie, Shane and Jacob.
Love Honey noted: “Although it didn’t make the top three, the name Sam, which ranks fourth, is arguable in a league of its own.
“Entirely due to the fact it was the name given to Patrick Swayze’s character in Ghost in 1990, which features a scene so steamy it made sloshing around a pile of cold, wet clay seem sexy.”
The study found that the most attractive men’s names have vowel sounds at the front of the mouth, while sexy women’s names don’t have this.
It also suggested that classic and timeless names are what really get Brits hot under the collar.
Love Honey said: “Research shows that some names are just naturally sexier than others.
“With that in mind, we’ve poured through hundreds of romantic movies and books to uncover the most romantic names of all time according to popular media.”
