IT’S a tried and tested way to remove the brassy tones of blonde hair.
So after hearing others rave about purple shampoo, one woman decided to give it a try – in a bid to make her blonde locks even brighter.
![I’d heard that purple helps make blonde hair less brassy so thought I’d give it a try – but I made a major mistake I’d heard that purple helps make blonde hair less brassy so thought I’d give it a try – but I made a major mistake](https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/bcde5862-3374-4a28-a30d-371a732e0ee3.jpg?strip=all&w=796)

She asked for help, with most people urging her to wash the dye out straight away[/caption]
However, Callie made one massive error, as she explained in a video on her TikTok page.
“So I was told that purple cancels out orange,” she said.
“So I bought purple hair dye.
“And now people are telling me that i should have bought purple shampoo, not purple hair dye.
“But I thought I had to buy purple anything.
“I thought what they meant was purple hair dye.
“So now I have purple hair dye on my head.”
She continued to explain that she was “freaking out” because she didn’t want to have purple hair.
“I guess I’m going purple and I should have bought purple shampoo instead,” she said.
“They didn’t say the shampoo part!
“I just wanted to go more blonde.
“What do I do? Help me.”
People flocked to the comments section to share their suggestions for removing the purple dye, with one writing: “Rinse it out right now!”
““i don’t want purple hair” *proceeds to leave on the purple hair dye*,” another laughed.
“If you don’t want your hair to be purple don’t buy purple hair dye,” someone else commented.
“Just rock the purple hair…. You got this,” another person wrote.
“It doesn’t matter if they said shampoo, you should’ve known purple hair dye was going to make your hair purple,” someone else scolded.
But it seems Callie managed to rectify the situation herself, as the next video on her TikTok page saw her rocking bright blonde locks.
She didn’t mention her hair fail again, either.
